The New TserverHQ Server System
We have a whole new server system that we have developed for our products. This is truly new and is a major step for TserverHQ.com. As you all know we are simply obsessed with providing the best service, support and protection for our users. The new system had so many features and changes that we needed to make these special web page to list them all.
Because our new system is so extremely advanced and vastly outperforms the current server systems that we use; all existing customers will have to move to the new servers within 5 months (January 2011) (UPDATE: All customers moved! We were suprised by the amount of responses to the new move, bravo). If you would like to decide when you are moved just open a ticket and we will painlessly help you out. If not, when the time comes your server will simply be converted automatically.
There are literally thousands of improvements from our old system of running things but we have highlighted the largest changes that you will notice right away and we think you will appreciate most.

The Power of Linux
Most of our servers up to this point were run on the Windows platform. We have always hated this but our control panel was designed for the .net environment and couldn't properly run on the linux servers. This has changed. The new server control panel is run on our new server system. We use Linux for these server resulting in faster results, less cluttered systems, more informative data and greater range of tools that keep your prices low.
DDoS - Distributed Denial of Service Attacks
You have surely heard about the increased amount of hacking and DDoS attacks that are happening to businesses large and small. This has led many governments to pass legislation that would track and arrest those individuals that perform these attacks.
The hosting community is no different. We will be attacked just like any other group. It is how we go about protecting and fixing these problematic attackers that counts.
What does this new server system have that is better than your current setup?
- Attacks that would slow down the system need to be 12 times the size that they have been in the past.
- Built in software automatically bans the attacking group making it much harder for them to constantly continue their attacks.
- Increased processing and computing power means less congestion in the system.
- Fully implemented security protocols prevent the possibility of “hacking.”
In conclusion:
Our new server setup is far safer. It isn't a matter of IF they will attack your server it is a matter of WHEN. When they do we are ready, and the methods that may have slowed things down in the past no longer will.
Increased Resources
We have been known for putting our customer on only the best hardware. Most providers will keep their users on multiple VPS (Servers that are shared with other groups/companies) We use only dedicated, fully featured and owned servers. Therefore you have more resources, less congestion, and total security.
What does this new server system have that is better than your current setup?

In conclusion:
The increased amount of resources will result in less lag no matter where you might be located in the world. We can also guarantee that our setup has more power, less lag, and is safer that 99% of other comparable hosting companies in the world. Now that is saying something.
100% Backups
Depending on your service your server's database is backed up every day. Keep in mind that this is only a database backup and not a complete backup of the entire server. With the new setup all services, all data, all files, and all information will now follow this procedure.
- Your entire server will be 100% backed up. Every file setting and snippet of information.
- The entire server will be compressed and sent over a fully encrypted line with the same encryption that banks use: On a P4 1.6 GHz with 512 MB of RAM (common botnet computer), the time requirements to break our encryption would take over 1,872,000 years to break. (THIS IS NOT A MADE UP NUMBER!)
- The backup will be stored in a fully redundant storage server located in our corporate office. Only qualified and trained individuals under legal oath and contract would have access to these backups. You would also be notified ANYTIME anyone were to access one of these backups.
Note: 30 days after your server is canceled or terminated all data for your server backup is completely and securely destroyed.
What does this new server system have that is better than your current setup?
- Instead of just backing up the database we are backing up everything
- we keep 10 copies for 10 days back. In the past we kept 3 copies for 3 days back.
- We now own and maintain the server backup system instead of trusting bonded 3rd parties such as Mozy.
In conclusion:
ALL your data is now safe, not just the essentials, therefore in the unlikely event that something is damaged or corrupted, you probably wont even notice the difference.
